Here is a high level look at our process. This 6-step process is our general approach to any project, whether it's a custom application or a web site. We have a more detailed web design workflow, which is used specicially for Web site creation or revamp projects. That document comes into play around the tactical plan stage.
- Discovery : Understanding your goals. This includes environmental snapshot and examination of business, strategic, and tactical context.
- Recommendation : How may we achieve your goals? Is there an opportunity to do more with less? Is the whole thing custom or can we incorporate existing architecture?
- Review : Narrowing the options and checking the facts. This ensures absolute consensus and allows us to get full approval before proceeding.
- Tactical Plan : Detailed description of what SystemTrends will do and why. We build the whole thing on "paper" to eliminate any risk of miscommunication. We also double-check what you want. You know exactly what you'll get.
- Implementation : Achieving your goals. We maintain close contact with you throughout the production cycle. We often utilize in-progress online review. It's basically a modified extreme programming technique.
- Analysis : Measuring effectiveness at the end of the day. With each project completed SystemTrends conducts an internal review (aka post mortem) to maximize the value of the learning experience. Additionally we remain in contact with you to help you use and grow the dynamic, evolving system delivered.
